Mediafire, and Suwako's hat

Recently some of my files, and files from many other people, started to give an error on Mediafire about being damaged or encrypted. I sent them a ticket as soon as possible asking for information on that error and since they are closed on weekends I had to wait until Monday to get an answer from them. Their answer was pretty straight forward.

I think they should have told people beforehand. Like "hey we're going to limit file share per week for free account starting next week, if you want unlimited sharing please consider buying a premium account" instead of just pissing off everyone with error that didn't even made any sense with what was really happening.

I thought of maybe buying premium for 1 year since their plan weren't very expensive and I liked their website in general, but then today I came home and see I have 13 new emails, each of them named "Mediafire Account received a Strike".
All of them being those mods that are being popular and being shared "too much" for poor mediafire.

The file (Simple Knit.7z) violates the MediaFire Terms of Service. Due to it being distributed from your account, it has been removed. Also, a Strike has been placed against your account and can lead to a termination of service.

The file (EllyFollower1.2.7z) violates the MediaFire Terms of Service. Due to it being distributed from your account, it has been removed. Also, a Strike has been placed against your account and can lead to a termination of service.

The file (EngineerOutfit.7z) violates the MediaFire Terms of Service.
The file (SuwakoMoriyaHat.7z) violates the MediaFire Terms of Service.

According to them, those files all break their term of service.

I decided to write to them that I would be deleting my account. I wished them good luck with their new policy of pissing off people before asking them money and deleted all of my files 1 by 1 to make sure they do not stay on their server, and deleted my account.

They were very quick to reply this time. They tanked me for feedback and said they would pass them along to the appropriate people. Which is probably their recycle bin.

Anyway. I will be uploading my mods on Mega.co.nz because I think they offer the best for now. Sadly they don't offer to share entire folders and I think their premium plan is a bit too expensive and offer too much than I could need. So I'll keep free account for now and hopefully they don't limit file share per week. Or at lest tell us beforhand.

I started changing links on my Blog but I haven't done any of the Oblivion files yet. I will do so in the next few days.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

A small hat I made got on modtype.doorblog.jp somehow. I think it's very awesome. Sadly it's one of my mod Mediafire decided broke their term of service, again. I never posted it here because I never thought it was something very amazing. Not that I think anything I post here is truly amazing but It was more like "My First Blender Model" type of mod. Hopefully the people at modtype will be able to find new links.

I reuploaded it on Mega. If you want it, you can download it here: SuwakoMoriyaHat.7z
